How do I add my own patches?

Create a Pure Data patch on your computer, then transfer it to midigarden using the Files app, AirDrop, or iCloud Drive. Place patches in the midigarden folder under "On My iPhone/iPad". Restart the app to load new patches.

What format should my patches be?

Use vanilla Pure Data (.pd files). Your patch should have one inlet (receives pitch and velocity as a list) and one or two outlets (audio output). The app automatically wraps patches with 8-voice polyphony.

Why is there no sound?

Check that your device isn't muted (the physical silent switch). Also check the volume. If using Bluetooth headphones, make sure they're connected and selected as the audio output.

How do I record a performance?

Use iOS Screen Recording (add it to Control Center in Settings). The retrospective looper captures your recent playing automatically - tap to save what you just played even if you weren't "recording".

Can I use MIDI controllers?

MIDI input support is planned for a future update.
